2026 Service 1st Annual Charity Duck Derby Winners Announced

2026 Service 1st Annual Charity Duck Derby Committee, family and friends.

(Danville, PA) - Service 1st Federal Credit Union held their Annual Charity Duck Derby Saturday, August 1, raising $22,000 to benefit two local organizations! 
 
A large crowd turned out to join Service 1st’s mascot, Crissie, and cheer for the rubber duckies as they raced down the Susquehanna River toward the finish line, located just past the Danville/Riverside Bridge.
 
 “What an incredible day for our community,” said Mike Thomas, President/CEO, Service 1st. “The support we received for this year’s Charity Duck Derby was truly inspiring. On behalf of everyone at Service 1st, thank you to our members, volunteers and community partners for helping make this event such a success. We’re grateful to be part of an event that brings our community together in support of local organizations.”

Over 5,600 tickets sponsoring the ducks in the race were sold for this year’s event; a new record for the fundraiser. 

"Seeing our community come together like this has been incredible," said Amanda Lagan, Indirect Lending Manager, Service 1st and Service 1st’s 2026 "Duck Commander", helping lead the planning of the 2026 Annual Charity Duck Derby. “Every duck purchased helped raise money to support two local non-profits that work hard to serve people in our communities, and I'm honored to say we dropped a record number of ducks today! Thank you to everyone who helped make this event so impactful."

Service 1st congratulates all 2026 Duck Derby winners and shares a special thank you to everyone who purchased tickets and volunteered for the event.
 
2026 Duck Derby winners include: 1st place (Ticket #2203) Joseph Cukauskas, $500; 2nd place (Ticket #1639) Ronda Shultz $100; 3rd place (Ticket #2238) Edith Williams, $100; 4th place (Ticket #285) Linda Krushinskie, $100; 5th place (Ticket #222) Jenn Watts, $100; and the last place finisher will also receive a special prize (Ticket #2421) Irene (from Blue Ridge Vans). A member of the Service 1st Duck Derby Committee will be reaching out to each of the winners.

In addition to the race, attendees enjoyed balloons, children’s activities and refreshments.

Funds raised by this year’s Duck Derby will be combined with those raised during Service 1st’s 32nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament being held on Friday, August 28 to benefit For the Cause NEPA, located in Berwick and the Bloomsburg Salvation Army Service Center, located in Bloomsburg.
