Reed Elected As Vice Chair of CrossState Association and CrossState Solutions Board of Directors

(Danville, PA) – Service 1st Federal Credit Union Chief Information Officer, Jay Reed was recently elected as Vice Chair of CrossState Credit Union Association and CrossState Solutions Board of Directors. Upon re-election next Spring, he will serve a two-year term.
“I’m honored to have the opportunity to serve as Vice Chair and to help to foster collaboration between our credit unions while supporting government advocacy to best support the financial health of our credit union members across Pennsylvania and New Jersey,” shared Jay Reed, Chief Information Officer, Service 1st.
Reed has been part of the credit union movement for 18 years and has served as a board director for CrossState Credit Union Association and predecessor, Pennsylvania Credit Union Association, since 2017. The board is represented by 12 individuals, six representing New Jersey and six representing Pennsylvania. Reed represents one of two board seats for Pennsylvania credit unions with total assets over $250 million.
Reed has completed the Credit Union Executives Society’s (CUES) CEO Institute program including curriculum at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management, and the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. Reed earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from Colorado State University Global Campus in 2022.
A life-long resident of Central Pennsylvania, Reed is active in the community. He participates in Service 1st’s Annual Charity Duck Derby, pediatric cancer awareness events and has served as a Director on the Danville Business Alliance (DBA) Board of Directors.
