sneaky! | beware of current phishing attempts

10/29/2025
As the holiday season approaches, it is important to be careful with your personal information. Phishing is commonly used around the holiday season to gain access to your accounts. Whether by text, email or mail, evil doers are reaching out to consumers like us, hoping they catch us in a weak moment. Don’t become a victim.

Check out the tips below!

#1 Stop. Slow down and talk to someone you trust or call Service 1st at 800.562.6049 if you suspect you may be a victim of identity theft.

#2 If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. Don’t respond via text, email or any other form of communication.

#3 Be suspicious of messages requesting you to “act fast.”

#4 Scammers like to pretend they are someone or an organization you know and trust. Don’t respond to calls for action within messages, rather call that person or company from a number you typically use.

#5 Stay savvy! There are some great resources to help you stay up-to-date about the latest efforts of evil doers.
