What does Service 1st Federal Credit Union do with your personal information?

Why?

How does Service 1st protect my personal information?

To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings.

 

How does Service 1st collect my personal information?  

We collect your personal information, for example, when you

  • Open accounts or deposit money
  • Pay your bills or apply for a loan
  • Use your credit card or debit card

 Why can’t I limit all sharing?       

Federal law gives you the right to limit only

  • Sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes — information about your creditworthiness
  • Affiliates from using your information to market to you
  • Sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you

State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing.

 

What happens when I limit sharing for an account I hold jointly with someone else?

Your choices will apply to everyone on your account.


Definitions

 

Affiliates - Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

  • Member Business Financial Services, LLC
  • First Heritage Mortgage Services


Nonaffiliates - Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

  • Nonaffiliates we share with can include insurance companies, government agencies, plastic card processors, consumer reporting agencies, and check / share draft printers.


Joint marketing - A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.

  • Our joint marketing partners include insurance companies and mortgage companies

The Service 1st mobile apps periodically collect, transmit, and uses geolocation information for enabling features that prevent fraudulent card use and alerts, but only if the End User expressly authorizes collection of such information. Geolocation information can be monitored on a continuous basis in the background only while the Solution is being used or not at all, depending on the End User’s selection. The End User can change his/her/their location permissions at any time in their device settings.
