[Danville, PA] – Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month events will continue September 6, 2025, during the Danville Heritage Festival on Mill Street from 9 am through 4 pm. 

During the festival, ThinkBIG Pediatric Cancer Fund®, Service 1st Federal Credit Union and Old Forge Brewing Company will be located at Canal Park in Danville, with live music, information on pediatric cancer awareness, a t-shirt fundraiser and Gold Dust pale ale will be for sale. A portion of the proceeds will benefit ThinkBIG. 

Live entertainment will include the following:
 10 to 11 Tim Latshaw 
 11 to 12 JT Thompson 
 12 to 1 Ricky Koons 
   1 to 2 Antonio Andrade
   2 to 3 Frank Wicher 
   3 to 4 Woody Wolfe

The series of events began on August 26 with live music at Old Forge Brewing Company and the annual debut of Gold Dust. This brew will continue to be sold throughout the month of September and will be available for purchase at each of the Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month events.

For the past few years Old Forge Brewing Company, Marley’s Brewery & Grille, and Rusty Rail Brewing Company, have collaborated on Gold Dust pale ale. Together, they have partnered to produce and distribute this special pale ale not only to help expand fundraising efforts but to expand awareness about this important cause. A portion of the proceeds from this special brew sold during September 2025 will benefit ThinkBIG.

This initiative, which began locally in 2015, has raised over $125,000 to help ThinkBIG carry out its mission to lessen financial stress for families with children fighting the disease. Since ThinkBIG started in 2014, the organization has provided over $1.5 million in financial support to local families.

Service 1st Federal Credit Union, Danville; Old Forge Brewing Company, Danville; Marley’s Brewery & Grille, Bloomsburg; Rusty Rail Brewing Company, Mifflinburg; Geisinger and Weis, along with numerous volunteers, have been working together as part of this Committee. September 2025 marks the 11th year for local organizations and community volunteers to join forces to help fight pediatric cancer.
