[Danville, PA] – Service 1st Federal Credit Union held its 30th Annual Charity Golf Tournament Friday, August 23, at Frosty Valley Resort in Danville. During the tournament, Service 1st presented two local charities with donations totaling $60,000!
“Our annual charity golf outing reached a new milestone this year, and it continues to garner strong community support,” said Mike Thomas, President/CEO, Service 1st. “Over the last three decades, we’ve been able to lift up numerous organizations that make a difference in the lives of people across our communities. We offer our deepest appreciation to everyone that makes this golf tournament the great success that it is.”
Beneficiaries of the 30th Annual Service 1st golf outing include Eos Therapeutic Riding Center located in Bloomsburg and the Thomas Beaver Free Library located in Danville. Each received $30,000.
"We’re grateful to be in a position where we can help take care of local charities that take good care of so many others," said Tom Rambo, Regional Vice President (East), Service 1st and Service 1st Golf Committee Chair. "None of it would be possible without a dedicated golf committee, volunteers, Service 1st team members, sponsors and golfers. This is a great example of community cooperation for the benefit of everyone.”
This year’s tournament included over 160 golfers and volunteers.
Since 1994, Service 1st’s Annual Charity Golf Tournament has raised over $732,500 to benefit area organizations.
